The Delivery Process
Export Documentation
Unitree issues full export documentation from China, including Certificate of Origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and technical specifications for customs.
Specialist Freight
The GD01's dimensions require specialist oversized cargo handling. We work with certified robotics freight carriers using purpose-built crating and air-ride suspension trailers.
International Shipping
Sea freight (4–8 weeks) or air freight (1–2 weeks) options available. Sea freight via major container lines. Air freight via cargo charter for time-critical orders.
Customs Clearance
Full customs brokerage service included. HS code classification, import duty calculation, and all clearance documentation handled by our specialist team.
Last-Mile Delivery
White-glove delivery to your specified address using a Moffett-equipped flatbed or specialised crane service for unloading at sites without loading dock access.
On-Site Commissioning
A certified Unitree technician visits your site for system checks, balance calibration, safety walkthrough, and operator training. Typically 1–2 days on-site.

China to USA/Europe via major container shipping lines.
Air cargo charter available for time-critical orders at premium cost.

Import Duty
Variable — currently under assessment. Specialist broker handles HS classification and any Section 301 tariff considerations.
Customs Authority
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Entry via major ports: Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Chicago.
Legal Status
No federal prohibition on civilian ownership. No licence required for private use on owned property. Check state and local ordinances for public operation.
Last-Mile Delivery
Door-to-door via bonded carrier. Typical port-to-delivery 2–5 days post customs clearance.
Note
FMCSA regulated transport for oversized cargo. Escort vehicles may be required for road transit depending on route.
United Kingdom
Import Duty
UK Global Tariff applies. Duty rate for robotic machinery typically 0–3.7% depending on HS code classification.
Customs Authority
HMRC import clearance. Entry via major ports: Felixstowe, Southampton, Dover, Tilbury.
Legal Status
No UK law prohibiting private ownership of a civilian robotic vehicle. HSE guidance applies for commercial/industrial use. UKCA marking advisory provided.
Last-Mile Delivery
Door-to-door via specialist haulier. Typically 1–3 days post customs clearance for mainland UK.
Note
DVSA abnormal load permit may be required for road transit. Our freight partner handles all permit applications.
Germany
Import Duty
EU Common External Tariff. Robotic machinery typically 0–2.7% duty. Full EU customs union applies post-clearance.

German Customs (Zollamt). Entry via Hamburg, Bremen, or Frankfurt am Main airport for air freight.
Legal Status

Last-Mile Delivery
Door-to-door via specialist German haulier. Typically 1–2 days post customs clearance within Germany.

Dutch Customs (Douane). Rotterdam port entry provides fastest EU clearance and onward distribution.

EU Machinery Regulation framework applies. Dutch private ownership unrestricted. Commercial deployment advisory provided.
Last-Mile Delivery
Rotterdam entry provides optimal gateway for EU-wide distribution. Delivery across Benelux within 1–2 days.
Note
Netherlands is recommended as EU entry point for multi-unit enterprise orders given port infrastructure.
